I’m having a tumblr conundrum.
On the slightly less important side, some of my posts are magically losing all of their notes. Like, ALL of them. Do 25 people independently decide to ‘unlike’ or ‘unreblog’ (???) a post? Or is tumblr just a misbehaving scamp?
On the more puzzling, why would the owner of a relatively popular blog I’m not following, and who is not following me, visit my blog on a sporadic but fairly frequent basis and like the shit out of all of my recent posts? It amused me for a while, now I am genuinely curious. It’s a poor scheme to simply get me to follow them, not to mention they’ve got a few thousand followers anyway, hardly desperate for more, so that’s unlikely. If it’s someone I know in real life, why not just message me? If it’s just a case of liking my fairly average blog (it could happen!), why not just follow me?? Apparently they first posted 2 days ago, but the instant large following from this ‘first’ posting suggests this blog is replacing a pre-existing one, or is being run alongside. I can’t say I ever paid enough attention before to notice a change in blog name now, but when I go back to when I think they last ‘visited’, all the notes on my posts during that time have vanished, so I can’t know for sure. No personal information, no photos, only posts are memes or other typical internet humour. Makes. No. Sense.
Maybe I’ve just been watching too much Sherlock recently. Maybe I’m a bit paranoid. BUT STILL.
